Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, about 1000 g Light Beer as needed
  • Salt, to taste Salt as needed

Instructions

  • Start by preparing the chicken: make sure it is well cleaned, emptied, and passed over a flame to remove any feather residues. Wash it thoroughly under running water and dry it with kitchen paper.
  • Evenly salt the inside of the chicken to flavor it well.
  • Place the chicken in a large enough casserole dish to comfortably contain it.
  • Pour the light beer into the casserole dish until the chicken is completely covered.
  • Cover the casserole with a lid and cook over medium heat.
  • Let it cook until the beer has evaporated and the chicken is tender to the touch and perfectly cooked inside.
  • Once ready, turn off the heat and let the chicken cool in its sauce before serving.

Notes

To give an original touch to the recipe, add some bay leaves and a splash of lemon juice during cooking for a fresher and more aromatic flavor. Additionally, you can accompany the dish with new potatoes roasted in the same beer sauce, absorbing all the flavors of the dish for a perfect combination.
