Prepare a delicious bread and lardo soup, enriched with melted parmesan and butter. A traditional comfort food with a rustic and crunchy twist from added nuts. Perfect for warming up winter evenings.
In a saucepan, sauté the onion and lard until the onion becomes translucent and the lard completely melts.
Bring the broth to a boil in another pot.
Slice the baguettes and place them at the bottom of four heat-resistant bowls.
Evenly distribute the sautéed lard and onion over the bread.
Carefully pour two ladles of boiling broth into each bowl.
Add a small piece of butter to each portion.
Finish with a generous sprinkle of grated Parmesan.
Notes
To add a rustic and crunchy touch to your soup, try adding some chopped walnuts to the sautéed mixture or as a final garnish on top of the grated Parmesan.
