Homemade Peanut Nougat Recipe
Homemade peanut nougat bars are crunchy and delicious treats, perfect for dessert or holidays. With only 6 ingredients and a hint of vanilla, you can delight friends and family. Try the variant with hazelnuts or almonds for a different twist!

Ingredients
250 g
Peanuts
Shelled
320 g
Honey

Whites

Orange Zest

Instructions
Begin by whisking the egg whites until stiff peaks form in a saucepan, adding three drops of lemon juice to stabilize the mixture.
Gently fold in the honey to the whipped egg whites, being careful not to deflate them.
Place the saucepan over very low heat and let the mixture cook for about 2 hours, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon to prevent it from sticking.
After two hours, add the shelled peanuts, grated orange zest, and a pinch of vanilla powder to the mixture.
Mix well until you achieve a homogeneous mixture and transfer everything to a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Level the surface with the blade of a knife to reach a uniform thickness of about 2 cm.
Allow it to cool completely before cutting the nougat into small pieces.
Notes
For an original and crunchy twist, lightly toast the peanuts in a pan before using them in the recipe.
