  • Peel the bananas, split them in half lengthwise and arrange them in the shape of a flower in a buttered dish.
  • Wet them with the juice of the oranges and half a lemon, sprinkle with powdered sugar and let them macerate at least 4 hours in the refrigerator.
  • When serving, pour a little rum over the bananas and ignite; serve with whipped cream.

Notes

For an even more exotic touch, try adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or vanilla to the bananas before flambeing. This will not only add depth to the flavor, but also create an irresistible aroma while flambeing.
