Easy and Delicious Poached Apricots

Instructions

  • Wash the apricots, dry them with a cloth, and split them in half.
  • Prepare a syrup with the sugar.
  • Add the apricots and cook for 15 minutes on very low heat.
  • If desired, they can be allowed to cool and served immediately.
  • They can also be preserved by placing them boiling in sterilized jars with an airtight seal.

Notes

For a spicier variation, you can add a cinnamon stick or a few cloves while cooking the syrup. This will give your apricots in syrup a unique, enveloping aroma.
