Privacy Policy for Users

AI4OMNIA S.r.l., with registered office in Piazzale Luigi Cadorna, no. 6, 20123 – Milan, Tax code/VAT no. 13166510969 (hereinafter referred to as the, “Controller“), owner of the website https://www.tips-4-food.com. (hereinafter referred to as the “Site“), in its capacity as the Data Controller of the personal data of users navigating on the Site (hereinafter referred to as “Users“), hereby provides the privacy policy statement pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 (hereinafter referred to as the, the “Privacy Code“) and pursuant to Article 13 of the EU Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (hereinafter referred to as, the “Regulation“, the Regulation and the Privacy Code are together referred to as the “Applicable Legislation“).

The following information does not concern other websites that may be accessed via links on the Site and embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.), for which the Owner is in no way responsible. The Controller constantly updates the Site in order to adapt it to new legislation, so we invite Users to visit this page on a regular basis in order to take note of any changes to this Privacy Policy and the information it contains.

The Controller takes the right to privacy and the protection of the personal data of its Users very seriously. For any information relating to this privacy policy, Users may contact the Controller at any time, by the following means:

  • By sending a registered letter with return receipt to the Controller’s registered office (Piazzale Luigi Cadorna, no. 6, 20123 – Milan);
  • By sending a certified e-mail message to privacy@ai4omnia.it.

1. Purpose of processing

The personal data of Users provided through navigation on this Site will be lawfully processed by the Controller pursuant to Art. 6 of the Regulation, for the purposes inherent to the relationship established or being established with the Controller, therefore its legal basis as required under Art. 13, par. 1(c) of the Regulation is justified by the reasons for which the aforesaid relationship is established, i.e. access as a visitor or User to the Site or response to any communications sent by the User to the Controller. In relation to Users who visit the Site, only the data necessary to, in general, improve the user experience of the Site, and to manage the services provided are collected. Providing data is optional. Therefore, it is understood that by continuing to browse, consent shall be deemed to have been given pursuant to Article 4(11) of the Regulation.

2. Processing methods and data retention periods

The Data Controller will process the Users’ personal data by means of manual and computerised tools, with methods strictly related to the purposes themselves and, in any case, in such a way as to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the data.

The personal data of the Site’s Users will be kept only for the time strictly necessary to fulfil the primary purposes set out in paragraph 1 above, or in any case as necessary for the protection in civil law of the interests of both the Users and the Controller.

3. Scope of data disclosure and dissemination

The Controller’s employees and/or collaborators in charge of managing the Site and the Users’ requests may become aware of the Users’ personal data. These subjects, who are formally appointed by the Controller as ‘data processors’, will process the Users’ data exclusively for the purposes indicated in this information notice and in compliance with the provisions of the Applicable Regulations.

Users’ personal data may also be disclosed to third parties who may process personal data on behalf of the Controller in their capacity as “External Data Processors“, for example, suppliers of IT and logistical services functional to the operation of the Site, suppliers of outsourcing or cloud computing services, professionals and consultants.

Users have the right to obtain a list of any data processors appointed by the Controller by making a request to the Controller in the manner indicated in paragraph 4 below.

4. Rights of Interested Parties

Users may exercise the rights guaranteed to them by the Applicable Regulations by contacting the Controller by sending a registered letter with return receipt to the registered office (Piazzale Luigi Cadorna, no. 6, 20123 – Milan) or to the following e-mail address privacy@ai4omnia.it;

Pursuant to the Applicable Legislation, the Controller informs Users that they have the right to obtain information on (i) the origin of personal data; (ii) the purposes and methods of processing; (iii) the methods applied in the event of processing carried out with the aid of electronic devices; (iv) the identification details of the controller and data processors; (v) the subjects or categories of subjects to whom personal data may be communicated or who may become aware of such data in their capacity as data processors or persons in charge of processing.

Furthermore, Users have the right to obtain:

a) access, updating, rectification or, where interested therein, integration of the data; b) the cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in breach of the law, including data that need not be kept for the purposes for which the data were collected or subsequently processed c) certification to the effect that the operations as per letters a) and b) have been notified, as also related to their contents, to the entities to whom or which the data were communicated or disseminated, unless this requirement proves impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate effort compared with the right that is to be protected.

In addition, Users have:

a) the right to withdraw consent at any time, if the processing is based on their consent; b) the right to data portability (the right to receive all personal data concerning them in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format), the right to restriction of the processing of personal data and the right to erasure (so called ‘the right to be forgotten’); c) the right to object: in whole or in part, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data concerning them, even though they are relevant to the purpose of the collection; d) if they consider that the processing concerning them is in breach of the Regulation, the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the Member State in which they habitually reside, in the Member State in which they work, or in the Member State in which the alleged breach occurred). The Italian supervisory authority is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (Italian Data Protection Authority), based in Piazza di Monte Citorio n. 121, 00187 – Rome (http://www.garanteprivacy.it/).

5. Cookies

Cookies are, as a rule, a string of text that websites visited directly by users (so-called publishers or ‘first parties’) or different websites or web servers (so-called ‘servers’) can use to create a cookie. “Third Parties”) place and store – directly (in the case of Publishers) and/or indirectly (i.e. through Publishers, in the case of “Third Parties”) – within a terminal device available to Users. The information that a cookie is able to decode may include personal data (IP address, user name, unique identifier, e-mail address, etc.) but also non-personal data (navigation settings, information on the type of terminal equipment in use, etc.).
